OLYPHANT, LACAKWANNA COUNTY- The thunderstorms that rolled the region Friday evening caused quite a few problems.

Most were minor, but Tom Littman of Olyphant had some major concerns when his cell phone rang on his way home from work. ÒI was on my way home from work and my daughter called and said there was a tree in the house. So I was pretty freaked out. I didn't know what it was,Ó he said.

After some yard work the tree was cut up and disposed of for the most part.

Homeowners weren't the only ones cleaning up. Power company workers were fixing lines and restoring electricity. At one point PPL had just under 12,000 customers without power.
