9:45 UPDATE: I-80 is re-opened to traffic.

9:15 UPDATE: Michael Mussone, 23, from Marshalls Creek, died in the crash on I-80 around 3 a. m. Fri. morning.

State Police say he swerved his SUV into another car and then struck a guardrail.

He was thrown from the SUV and died at the scene.

Melissa Garay, 19, was driver the other car. She was not injured.

I-80 is still closed as of 9:15 a. m.

MONROE COUNTY - A deadly 2-vehicle crash in Monroe Co. left part of I-80 E. closed Fri. morning.

The Interstate near Stroudsburg is shut down between exits 305 and 308; but the backlog stretches a couple miles farther.

The crash killed one person. There's no word if anyone else was injured.

State Police on the scene expect the eastbound lanes in that 3-mile stretch to remain closed for several hours.

Drivers should detour onto either Rt. 611 or 209.
