Gusty winds overnight have caused some problems around the area including downed trees and power outages. In the Poconos, both East Stroudsburg High School North and Lehman Intermediate are closed today due to a power outage. All other schools in the district are open.

PPL reports that nearly 10,000 people were without power early this morning in our area, but many of them have been restored.

In Central PA, two people were slightly injured just before midnight when a tree fell on their car in Lock Haven.

In Lycoming County, emergency dispatchers took more than a dozen calls of trees and power lines down, including a tree that fell onto a structure in Jersey Shore.

And in Luzerne County's Back Mountain a tree came down on Route 309 near Kunkle Road blocking one lane of traffic.
