STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY - Even though the terror attacks in India have finally ended, a Stroudsburg high school graduate is still overseas.

WYOU News/WBRE News spoke by phone with Jennifer Jacobi on Saturday. Right now, the 24-year-old is one of six local American students in Mumbai, India.

She's taking part in a five month study abroad program, and since the attacks started, she has been under lockdown at her hostel. She's been glued to the television, watching all of the events unfold.

"It has been scary. We really weren't sure what was going on at first. It was just incredible to see these places, a few minutes away from where we stay, just going up in flames and under attack," Jacobi said by telephone.

A total of six Americans were killed in the terror attacks in India.
