LA PLUME, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- More than 300 high school students from Lackawanna and Luzerne counties learned about politics Friday. They were a part of the youth and government forum. It was held at Keystone College in La Plume and was sponsored by State Representative Jim Wansacz. Tthe event was designed to give the students a chance to talk to community leaders, discuss the issues, and most importantly - learn about how government works. Some of the questions dealt with taxpayer money being used to pay for take out dinners at night. Wansacz said those meals came during late night sessions to discuss legislation.
