Surveillance Video of Convenience Store Thief - Sunday, May 10, 2009 at 10:15PM EST

PLAINS TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY- Police hope surveillance video will help them catch a Luzerne County thief. The video shows the crime happening in Plains Township at the Uni-Mart on River Street.
A man in a black cap walked into the store Saturday night around 11:00. He ordered a beverage then when the clerk was distracted --- stole money from the cash register and left.

Anyone who recognizes the thief should call Plains Township Police or Luzerne County 9-1-1.
