SALEM TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY - Police apprehended a suspect who tried to rob a Luzerne County bank.

It happened Tuesday morning just before 10:00 o'clock at First Keystone National Bank on Fowler Avenue in Salem Township.

The suspect acted like he had a weapon and demanded money from the teller.

He took off in an SUV but police caught him a short time later after a high speed chase that ended in the Nanticoke area.
