STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY -- The suspect in an I-Team investigation admitted her guilt Monday afternoon.
Shirley Matthews from New Jersey was charged with theft in Wyoming County. The I-Team exposed her mortgage scam after she promised to save a man's home from foreclosure.
She was running a loan modification company but pocketed $9,000 of the man's money.
Matthews was convicted of similar scams in Monroe County and New Jersey. She's scheduled to be sentenced later this month. | | |
