WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY- Hundreds of people flooded the streets of Williamsport Saturday for a tea party. They protested the lack of information from government leaders about important issues.

Many carried American flags and hand-painted signs urging lawmakers to tell Americans more about the healthcare plan, torte reform and cap and trade.

Organizers say the tea parties are a way to get their message to Harrisburg and Washington. Corinne Klose of Lewisburg said, "I think they do, I think they should. It's a mechanism for us to let them know that we are not happy with what's going on today."

Approximately 1,500 people took part in SaturdayÕs tea party in Williamsport.
