SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY -- A Montrose area teacher charged with having sex with a student is fired.
Jeffrey Norris was arrested in August. He was officially fired at Tuesday's school board meeting.
Superintendent Michael Ognosky says Norris wasn't fired because of the investigation. He says Norris didn't renew his teaching certificate before the start of the school year. That's a state requirement.
Norris is a former high school English and Latin teacher. He's charged with having sex with a student in 2007.
His trial is scheduled for later this year. | | |
