MINERSVILLE, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- A Schuylkill county teenager who's accused of vandalizing a church is heading to prison.

In February, graffiti damage covered the Minersville Church of Broken Pieces. Hate symbols and racial slurs were spray-painted all over the house of worship on North Front Street.

On Wednesday, a judge sentenced 18-year-old Kevin Smith of Schuylkill Haven to serve three to 23 months in prison, with three years of probation and 80 hours of community service.

Smith must also pay hundreds of dollars in fines and restitution.
