WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- A teenager charged with defacing a Wilkes-Barre house of worship admits her guilt.

19-year-old Nora Rynkiewicz of Factoryville pled guilty Tuesday morning. Prosecutors say she and a juvenile girl spray painted swastikas and other anti-Semitic phrases on the Ohav Zedek synagogue on South Franklin Street.

It happened in late March when Rynkiewicz was living with her grandmother in Pringle. Rynkiewicz pled guilty to ethnic intimidation, institutional vandalism and criminal mischief.

We spoke to a leader of the Jewish community, attorney Murray Ufberg. "The tragedy to me is that this is occurring in 2008 at this point in time one would expect something more from our society," he said.

Rynkiewicz faces up to 15-years in prison when she's sentenced next month in Luzerne County court.
