SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - Hundreds of people showed up, Saturday, in downtown Scranton to see a teen actor from a popular Nickelodeon kids show.
"ICarly" star Nathan Kress posed for countless pictures and signed plenty of autographs -- enjoying a heavy and sudden dose of fame.

"It's been a very interesting experience and it's taken a lot of getting used to and I hope I never really do get used to it because then, you know, that would be kind of lame," said Kress.

For 2-years now, Kress has played the part of kid producer Freddy Benson in "ICarly".
The Emmy nominated t-v program is about 2-girls hosting an online web show.
He says "ICarly's" success has exceeded the cast's expectations.
"We knew that it was a funny show and we had a feeling that people were going to like it. We just didn't know it was going to be this big."

So big that hundreds stood in line for hours for a chance to briefly meet him.
Some fans got in line as early as 7:30 in the morning, including Tori Buckley of Mountain View.
She and her friends waited in line nearly 5-hours wearing shirts she made to impress the teen star.
"He is like the nicest person I've ever actually met. He gives really good hugs, too," the Susquehanna County teen said.
"Very good hugs."

Her friend, Jenna Parsons of Mountain View could barely contain herself shouting, "We hugged him! We hugged him! Aaaahhhh"

Earlier, Kress held a private meet and greet across the street at the Oppenheim's Building.
Dozens of fans were there who love him and "ICarly".

"I think it's really funny. It was really cool meeting him," said Lexi Place of Bushkill.
Connor Stornable of Jermyn said, "I always watch "ICarly" on line."

5-year-old Megan Miller of Lebanon traveled several hours from southeastern Pennsylvania and drew him something special.
She said, "I gave him a picture of him, Carly and Sam."

Another big fan is the daughter of Eyewitness News Weekend Anchor Mark Hiller.
"It was really exciting to meet him and it was really fun," said 10-year-old Sarah Hiller.

But his biggest fan may very well be his mother.
When asked if she's got to be one proud mom, Allison Kress said, "I am, I am. He's a... he's a great guy."
A great guy who's enjoying his time on "ICarly" and a fleeting thing called fame.
Nathan kress say he'll enjoy regular school life and just being a normal teen for a couple of months until "ICarly" begins shooting a 4th season.
