TOWANDA TOWNSHIP, BRADFORD COUNTY --Searchers discover what they feared most--a 15 year-old Monroeton boy missing since Friday has been found dead. Volunteers found the body of Devon Marcy late this morning on an island in Towanda Creek. That's in Towanda Township, Bradford County.

Devon was last seen hanging out with friends last Friday in Monoroeton but he never came home. Today a mother’s worst fears became reality and this isn't the first time tragedy has struck this Bradford County family.

Investigators recover the body of who family members say is 15- year- old Devon Marcy Wednesday afternoon from the Towanda Creek. Volunteers have been looking for the Monroeton teen by foot and boat since he went missing late last week.

Volunteer William Bump says, "nobody wants to find that. Nobody wants to see this. Nobody. We were hoping we wouldn't find anything. Hoping he was at a friend's house." Dave Parker and his son last saw Devon with some friends, walking to the Dandy Mart, on Route 220, just before 10pm Friday night. D.J. says he hung out with Devon quite a bit. DJ says he would "ride 4-wheelers with him. Loves to go fishing, loves to go hunting. We got to know each other. We became best friends."

As of Wednesday afternoon, police hadn't said how Devon died. But his cousin doesn't think it was an accident.

Chirico asks "do you think it’s suspicious?" His cousin, Steve House says "from my point of view, yes, I think there had been foul play because I know Devon and he never would have gotten into this creek himself."

This isn't the first misfortune to strike the Marcy family. Friends say Devon had been devastated by his father's murder at the Hayloft Bar in Susquehanna County in 1999. Now this tragedy leaves friends horrified. DJ Parker says "I can't believe he's gone." Dave Parker says "it’s devastating. I can't imagine something like that happening to me. My heart goes out to the family."
