SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - Scranton Police are looking for four suspects after a 19-year-old man was stabbed late Friday afternoon.
The stabbing happened in an alley known as Preston Place. That is right off of 15th Avenue, very close to West Scranton High School.
According to investigators, the teenager suffered two puncture wounds. One was to the forehead. The other was to the left side. Cops think the weapon used was an ice pick.
Police say the stabbing happened just before 3:00 PM. That is the time that the nearby West Scranton High School let out for the day. Investigators say a female came upon the victim and ran to the high school to get help from the school resource officer.
As of right now, police do not think the stabbing victim has any affiliation with the school. The victims name has not been released. He was taken to Scranton CMC for non life-threatening injuries.
Scranton Police say they are looking for four black males who were seen running from the area after the stabbing.
Anyone with information is urged to call Scranton Police. | |
