SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Tuesday night some of the cast of NBC's hit show "The Office" could win big. They're taking part in celebrity family feud, and a local non-profit center could benefit. The cast chose the Children's Advocacy Center of Northeastern Pennsylvania in Scranton as its charity.

It's a phone call the center will never forget. Director Mary Ann Laporta said, "They heard me downstairs, I was screaming, screaming. It was gleeful. Very wonderful, very exciting."

Laporta is talking about the call from Brian Baumgartner, who plays Kevin Malone on The Office. The cast chose the advocacy center as its charity of choice for July 8th’s episode of Celebrity Family Feud on NBC.

Some of the cast has a chance to win upwards of tens of thousands of dollars. It will all be donated to the center, a facility providing services for sexually and physically abused children. "There's a lot of promise and hope and healing involved in this process," said Laporta.

The center relies on donations and grants to run. Laporta says helping young children is rewarding, and any winnings from family feud would help tremendously. "It's a very powerful and very compelling feeling. Obviously we don't have to tell you the horror of the reality of child abuse," she added.

The Office lineup for Family Feud will be Kevin Malone, Phylis Smith, Creed Bratton, Merideth Palmer, And Oscar Martinez. Hopefully it’s a winning team for the advocacy center.

Again, the office celebrity Family Feud airs Tuesday evening on WBRE at 8:00. There's a watching party scheduled at Whistle’s Pub in Scranton from 7:00 until 9:00. The cover is $10 and it also benefits the center.
