0/ 5 rating SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- A Throop man will spend between four and eight months on home confinement for selling exotic animals.

Michael Percival was sentenced Wednesday afternoon. Police say he sold snapping turtles and snakes online. That's illegal.

Investigators say they also found child pornography on Percival's home computer. Earlier this year, he pleaded no contest to the charges against him. Defense Attorney Chris Powell said, We're satisfied with the sentence the judge gave. We feel its an appropriate sentence and my client Michael is remorseful for what happened."

As part of his sentence, Percival will also have to do 200 hours community service.
