PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FLORIDA - Is Tiger Woods about to end his self-imposed exile and get back into golf?
That question should be answered Friday morning at 11:00 as the disgraced superstar faces live television cameras.
Woods will make his first public statement since a November car crash led to revelations of extramarital affairs.

It's been almost three full months since Woods crashed his SUV into a tree outside his Florida home.
Since that crash, an infidelity scandal has rocked his world.
20-women have been linked to the superstar golfer in a scandal that put his marriage on shaky ground and landed him in a Mississippi sex rehab clinic.
So far, Woods' only comments about the incident and the scandal that followed have been through his website.
He announced in December he was taking an indefinite leave from golf
to work on saving his marriage.

So is he ready to return to the links?
A Tiger Woods comeback would please professional golf given that t-v ratings lately have been in the rough.
"We want him to come back and play as soon as possible," said PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem.

The scandal has been a public relations nightmare that cost Woods his marketing power and jeopardized his $100 million a year income.
A P. R. expert believes Woods can rebound both personally and professionally.
"He'll emerge from this a better husband, a better father, a better person," said public relations strategist Marvet Britto. "I think America is ready to forgive Tiger Woods and we're ready to see him bring his A-Game back to the golf course."
One study found Woods taking a leave from golf has so far cost his sponsors and their shareholders up to $12 billion.

Tiger is expected to be surrounded by a small group of family and friends.
It's not certain if his wife, Elin Nordegren, will be by his side.
Tiger Woods is scheduled to go before live television cameras from the home of the PGA at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
He will not take any reporter questions.
You can watch live coverage of his public appearance and statement on WBRE-TV.
