The area's largest employer is cutting some of its staff. Tobyhanna Army Depot announced Monday they will layoff of more than 200 workers.
Tobyhanna officials say the move is in an effort to balance personnel with its current workload. The people affected are defense support services contract workers.
Many of them were contracted for specific projects related to the military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Those projects ended in the new fiscal year.
