Tracking Megan's Law Offenders Using GPS

Tracking Megan's Law Offenders Using GPS - Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 8:45PM EST

HAZLE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY- Sex offenders could face 24/7 monitoring by global positioning satellite, or GPS.

Megan's Law offenders are supposed to let police know when or where they move. They don't always do that. These offenders can be in neighborhoods for days and nobody knows about it.

We talked with a sex offender who insists that the law is going to far. He doesn't want to be identified. He plead guilty to child sex crimes, served jail time and is now on Megan's Law website.

This is not a done deal and the debate continues in Harrisburg.
