WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Police responded to a close call involving a runaway tractor trailer at Mountaintop Chiropractic on Route 309 just after 7pm tonight. The tractor trailer was heading to the Crestwood Industrial Park and became lost. The driver stopped the truck in the middle turning lane of Route 309 and went to ask for directions when the tractor trailer rolled away on it's own towards the business. The momentum of the truck slowed just before it was about to collide with the building. No damage was done to the building. Police tell Eyewitness News that the driver either forgot to put the brake on or the brakes may have failed. The driver of the rig has been cited by Wright Township Police for parking the tractor trailer and leaving it in the middle of the highway.
