Traffic was backed up this morning along I-81 in Plains Township after an overnight tractor trailer crash.

The right lane of Interstate 81 Northbound in Plains Township is closed between mile-marker 172 to 174 after 2 tractor trailers crashed. One of the truck drivers was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries.

Crews are working to transfer a load of frozen pies carried by one of the trucks. That lane is expected to be shut down most of the morning.

In Susquehanna County traffic was slowed by an early morning truck crash at mile-marker 217 in Harford.

According to police, the driver of the tractor trailer fell asleep at the wheel. The rig flipped over in the median. The driver was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
