ASHLEY, LUZERNE COUNTY -- An incident involving a tractor trailer in Luzerne County is causing bigger problems than first thought.
Crews have been busy since Sunday afternoon working on telephone and cable TV lines along Route 309 in Ashley.
A big rig turning around near Bentley's restaurant around 2:00 P. M. snagged the wires. That knocked out service to some 400 Service Electric customers and interrupted telephone service to homes and businesses.
The affected area includes Ashley, Warrior Run and Sugar Notch as well as South Wilkes-Brre and the Lynnwood section of Hanover Township.
Crews had hoped to have repairs finished early Sunday evening -- but Service Electric says it may take until Monday.
