LEHMAN TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY- A tractor trailer rear-ended a school bus Thursday afternoon on route 118 in Lehman Township. There were 12 students, an aide and the driver on board the bus at the time. The school bus driver, a student and an aide were all taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses say School bus number 46 from Luzerne County Head Start was heading west on Route 118 when it came to a stop. Witnesses say the driver of the tractor trailer, which was hauling a load of rail road ties, honked his horn but couldn't stop in time and rear-ended the bus. Police estimate the truck was traveling about five to ten miles per hour.
