Williamsport, Lycoming County-
A portion of Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport was evacuated following an early morning fire.
Investigators say an electric transformer caught fire on the southwest side of the building around 8:00 Wednesday morning.
Firefighters used a dry chemical powder to put out the flames.
The fire was under control in less than an hour and damage was contained to the outside of the building.
No word yet on whether the evacuees were patients or employees at the hospital.
That blaze is not considered suspicious but is still under investigation. | | |
