Truck Carrying WTC Pieces Involved in Crash - Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 04:10AM EST

Reported by: Laurie Monteforte
Wednesday April 14 2010
NEAR STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY -- Two trucks carrying pieces of the World Trade Center were involved in a crash in Monroe County.

The steel beams that formed the first nine floors of the towers were forged in Coatesville. They were on trucks headed back to that area.

The 28-truck convoy hit a bump in the road just outside of Stroudsburg. One truck rear ended another truck. It happened on the on-ramp to Route 33 off of interstate 80 west.

No one was hurt but one truck was damaged. It was towed to a mechanic. There's no word on when the beam it was carrying will arrive in Coatesville.
