WILKES-BARRE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY- A fast food restaurant is open despite being hit by a big rig overnight.

An unattended truck and trailer plowed through the drive-thru at the McDonald's on Route 309 in Wilkes-Barre Township around 3:30.

The hole in the side of the building is at least 6 feet high by 8 feet wide. No one was hurt.

A zoning inspector gave the Wilkes-Barre Township McDonald’s the okay to remain open.
