Two Alarm Fire in Wilkes-Barre - Monday, September 8, 2008 at 11:52AM EST

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Crews were called to Monroe Street in South Wilkes-Barre just before 11:00 Monday morning. Two homes went up in flames near Walnut Street.

According to neighbors, one of the homes was vacant and the other was occupied. Two people living in the occupied home are now homeless.

No one was injured. Wilkes-Barre firefighters had the flames knocked down in less than 20 minutes after the fire quickly went to two alarms.

Right now officials say the cause of the fire is suspicious.
