GLEN LYON, LUZERNE COUNTY- Jean Angradi was watching television. Three pops and then some screams made her jump up and come outside. At least two women were yelling at her to call 911. At 3:30 p. m., 911 operators got several emergency calls. Scanner reports indicated two people were shot inside 47 Coal Street. Officials held off on making any official comment, except to say the situation inside the home was isolated and the public shouldn't be worried. Various family members broke down, crying outside the residence that sits on the corner of Coal and Spring Streets. Neighbors said some family members witnessed the apparent shootings.

At 7 p. m., police emerged with two body bags. Luzerne County Coroner John Corcoran would not comment on any apparent signs of trauma to the remains. District Attorney Jacqueline Musto Carroll declined to comment Monday evening, referring questions to Corcoran. He said autopsies would be scheduled at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Neighbors said the woman victim worked as a nurses aide at a nearby nursing home. Ken Agradi said he had given the man, whom he presumed dead, a ride to work on Sunday. He described him a nice guy.
