RYAN TWP., SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- The pilot and passenger hurt in a helicopter crash remain hospitalized. Sunday investigators deemed the helicopter crash site a "federal crime scene.”

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating exactly why the chopper crashed.

Pilot Al Roman and passenger Joseph Matteo continue to recover from their injuries. The two were airborn and preparing to drop golf balls for a charity event when the chopper crashed Friday.

Sunday representatives from the helicopter manufacturer examined the crash site. It is located at the Mountain Valley Golf Course in Ryan Township.

That part of the golf course will remain closed at least until Monday. Officials say it could take weeks or even months to finish the investigation.
