SMITHFIELD TWP., MONROE COUNTY- Two men were robbed and assaulted at gun point Sunday in Monroe County. The stick up happened in the parking lot of the Calvery Baptist Church in Smithfield Township.
Police say two robbers got away with the victims cell phones and about $1,500 in cash. The suspects are described as white male wearing a red sweatshirt and a Hispanic male wearing a gray sweatshirt.
They were last seen running towards Franklin Hill Road. Police say they may be driving a white Chrysler sedan with North Carolina plates.
