CRANBERRY, LUZERNE COUNTY- Tuesday was very busy for rescue crews in lower Luzerne County.
Two people were rescued from a strip mine pit just off Route 924 in the community of Cranberry which is just outside Hazleton.
We're told a women went down the embankment and a man tried to save her.
Both fell 30 feet.
It took rescue crews over an hour to reach both of them.
They were taken the hospital .
Their names and conditions are not known.
