SAINT CLAIR, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- A Saint Clair man is jailed after a violent double stabbing that happened Sunday morning around 3:30 at 250 North Nicolas Street.

38-year-old Steven Close is accused of stabbing Lori Sleva and Justin Manhart repeatedly in the face, head, neck and hands.

State Police, crime scene markers and even blood still marked the scene late Sunday. Neighbors say they were not shocked to hear the violent news.

Neighbor Christine Mullins said, "There's always boozin’, druggin’ and unfortunately there's all kind of nut cases going in and out of there. We were waiting for it to happen. You could see something was going to happen."

Both of the victims are still in the hospital. Lori Sleva is in critical condition while Justin Manhart is in serious condition.

Close is charged with 2 counts of attempted murder and is jailed on $250,000 bail.
