State police in Lackawanna County are looking for the person who accidentally shot a hunter in Newton Township. It happened just before noon Saturday in the woods off of Church Hill Road.
Troopers say 22-year-old Donald Hazelton of Scranton was with his uncle when he was hit by a shotgun blast. After realizing what happened, the shooter took off in a taupe colored four door Buick with a red top.
Hazelton was taken to Scranton's CMC for treatment.
Meanwhile in Monroe County the game commission is investigating another shooting. It happened around 2:30 Saturday afternoon in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area on Route 209.
Officials say a man from Willow Grove who was hunting deer was shot while he was in a tree stand.
The victim was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital. His name and condition have not been released.
