CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY- State police have charged two boys, ages 11 and 13, with vandalism and arson after a fire on Wednesday night. According to police the two boys from Effort broke into the home at 159 Brian Lane around 8 p. m. Once inside the boys vandalized the home and then started a fire in the basement. Police say the boys fled the scene but a nearby neighbor saw them leaving. The boys were identified and located a short time later. Police said the boys confessed to the fire and to damaging the home. They were then charged as juveniles through the Monroe County Juvenile Probation Department. The names were not released because they were charged as juveniles.
