SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY
Two men are facing charges following a fight and stabbing incident in Scranton on Monday night.
Police say they were called to the apartment of Frank Minelli on Kirst Court Monday night to check on reports there had been a stabbing. Officers say Minelli had been cut on his jaw and neck. He told officers that three black males had entered his apartment and accused him of 'setting them up.' Minelli said the three men fought with him then fled.
Police say they spotted two men matching the description of two of the assailants a few block from the scene. One, 18-year-old Darius Walker, was helping the second man, 24-year-old Byron Foster, to walk. Police say Foster had been injured in the abdomen. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Foster and Walker are being charged with aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and criminal conspiracy.
Police are still searching for the third man who entered Minelli's apartment. | |
