SHENANDOAH, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY - Police here are searching for two men who robbed, shot, and killed Bruce Forker in his Centre Street apartment around 2am Tuesday.

Forker's sister, Jody, says Bruce, his girlfriend, and their two daughters were home when two masked men broke into the house. The girlfriend says one man put a gun to her head and demanded money from Bruce.

"And after he gave them the money, they shot him anyway," said Jody. "And the kids were there, and now he's gone."

"Born and raised here, and I haven't seen nothing like this ever," said Scott Sajda, who lives a couple blocks away and saw the police cars rush to the scene. "I never thought it would happen either."

Forker's family says he'll be missed, especially by his daughters, ages five and a month and a half.

"They're going to miss their dad, because he was a great dad, a wonderful dad," said Jody. "He was just a wonderful, wonderful person. And I don't know how we're going to make it without him."

As of 12pm Tuesday, police have not given any descriptions of the two male suspects. They ask anyone with information on the shooting to call state police at Frackville at 570-874-5300. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call 1-800-4PATIPS. There is a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest(s) of the person(s) responsible.

Around 3am, police asked people to be on the lookout for a black Dodge Neon driven by a white man with long hair. As of 8am, police said that was no longer in effect.
