LUZERNE AND LACKAWANNA COUNTIES- The cash-strapped Postal Service has released it's list of 700 post offices it wants to close.

The U. S.P. S. is considering closing two offices from Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The offices are in Dickson City, Lackawanna County and Ashley, Luzerne County.

The list must be approved by the Independent Postal Regulatory Commission before any office is shut down.

The Postal Service is $7-billion in the red, despite the 2-cent increase in stamps this past Spring.

Officials warn more post offices could be added to their hit list.
