An update on an I-Team investigation into the treatment of foreign exchange students in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties. The investigation is widening, and now parents of those children are reacting. There's word that the U. S. attorney office may be involved it all centers around how foreign exchange students were handled or mishandled by a Scranton woman.
Parents of those kids are reaching out and speaking out. The questions are many, how could anyone live in filth like this home on Myrtle Street in Scranton it was filled with dog feces, and to think that a 15 year old foreign exchange student from Nigeria lived here for two months. Placed here by Edna Burgett of Scranton , she was area coordinator for the aspect foundation of California ; she was fired after our report aired, and this house was condemned by the city.
This investigation is ongoing. The U. S. attorney's office will be asked to look at the case.
