DALLAS, LUZERNE COUNTY- The Wyoming County District Attorney is probing allegations members of the Dallas Area High School football team urinated on tennis courts at Tunkhannock Area High School.
George Skumanick confirmed Monday his office is investigating the matter after Tunkhannock Area School Board members asked him to.
Dallas Area administrators refused to talk about the matter saying their attorney advised them to say "no comment."
Sources in the district claimed Tunkhannock Area officials asked Dallas for information on the individuals allegedly responsible so that they could be billed for what we're told was an extensive cleanup.
We're told no one from Dallas ever responded, prompting Tunkhannock leaders to call the D. A.'s office.
Reached by phone Monday night, Dallas Area coach Ted Jackson said "someone should investigate the facilities at Tunkhannock Area," claiming the walls had "fecal matter" on them.
Calls placed to Tunkhannock Area administrators were not immediately returned.
Sources at Dallas Area say the district sent a letter to PIAA referencing Coach Jackson's concerns.
A call to the regional PIAA president was not immeidately returned.
Skumanick said his office should have a completed report by Friday.
