LEWISBURG, UNION COUNTY - A 19 year old Allenwood man was charged late Wednesday night in connection with a vandalism spree at Great Stream Commons that caused as much as $1 million in damage to construction vehicles earlier in the week. Randy Beamer was arraigned before a District Judge in Lewisburg at 11:30 p. m. Wednesday. He faces multiple charges, including criminal mischief and agricultural vandalism. Beamer, who is being held on $50,000 bail in Union County Jail, faces multiple charges. Jonathan Weigel will be arraigned before Armbruster today. Beamer, who is being held on $50,000 bail in Union County Jail, faces a preliminary hearing Aug. 21.

According to court documents, Beamer and Weigel found keys to construction vehicles on the grounds of a future Target warehouse and distribution center in Gregg Township , Union County . The two started the vehicles between 2 a. m. and 5 a. m. Sunday, and drove them around the construction site. While Weigel was riding the Scrapper Pan, Beamer was driving and Ingersoll Rand Roller around soybean fields, causing extensive damage to the land. Beamer then drove the Roller up an embankment, causing the machine to roll onto its side.
