STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY- Police are investigating over twenty five incidents in which vandals have smashed mailboxes. It is believed that there are more incidents that have not been reported. The damage began shortly after midnight on Wednesday until dawn and then started up again after midnight Thursday. The last reported act was witnessed at approximately 5:00 AM in the Glenbrook area. The witness stated that he observed an unknown male passenger in a two door Gold colored car, possibly a Saturn or similar vehicle, lean out of the window and smash several mailboxes with a baseball bat type object. Upon being observed, the vehicle fled towards Stroudsburg. The vandalism took place on Tanite Road , Hickory Valley Road Glenbrook Road , Shellbrooke Estates and Shafer's Schoolhouse Road. .
