Northumberland Borough, Northumberland County-
Vandals damaged more than forty cars in central Pennsylvania over the weekend.
Northumberland police say someone scratched the hoods, sides, and trunks of dozens of cars near Second, Fourth, and King streets.
Police believe the damage was done late Sunday night or early Monday morning. They say there’s no question the acts of vandalism are related.
Now they’re asking the public to be their eyes and ears.
Northumberland Police Chief Timothy Fink explained, “Anyone suspicious, late at night, give us a call. We can come up and check it out and hopefully avoid something like this in the future.”
Employees at a local body shop say it could cost up to $1,000 to fix each car. Vandalism is usually covered with comprehensive insurance.
