WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- A Freeland woman who was charged in connection with a deadly wreck that killed a father and son was sentenced Friday.
Lori Ferrey, 45, will serve 6 to 12 months of house arrest for each of the two counts of vehicular homicide that she pleaded guilty to.
Ferrey was convicted of killing Bob Kenvin Sr. and his son Bob Kenvin Jr. in a deadly crash on East Butler Drive in Butler Township in May, 2006.
After court, Ferrey apologized for her actions.
Defendant Lori Ferrey said, "I am very sorry for what happened. It's something I will never forget. I'm just sorry."
Ferrey had no previous criminal record.
She's a distant relative of the victims' family, however, some family members say she never showed remorse for her actions.
Ferrey's attorney says that's absolutely false and he even advised her not to contact the family when she wanted too.
