Williamsport, Lycoming County-

Veterans in Williamsport were honored during a service at the Garrett Cochran Armory.

The event was hosted by State Representative Rick Mirabito and Mayor Gabe Campana.

The armory has been in the city for more than 80 years. It's set to undergo a $20 million renovation project.

Officials noted that soldiers who train here often become deeply rooted in the community.
