Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County - One person is hurt after a violent one car accident on Route 309 Monday night.

One person is hurt after a violent one car accident on Route 309 Monday night.

It happened just after 7:00pm near exit one of the Cross Valley .

State police say the driver of the car was traveling south and hit the concrete median.

The driver was taken by helicopter to Scranton CMC.

The person name and condition has not been released.
