STROUDSBURG - He was once a proud volunteer for the Barrett Township Fire Department, now he's a prisoner at the Monroe County Correctional Institute.

Matthew Grebb will spend between two and a half and five years behind bars. Then he faces ten years of probation. He will also have to pay more than $200,000 in restitution for the damage his fires caused.

In November Grebb plead guilty to setting four fires over the past several years. He said he did it because he had low self esteem and it made him feel like a hero to help put out the flames.

Before his sentencing Grebb told a Monroe County Judge he was sorry and tearfully said, "I would just like to apologize from the bottom of my heart."
