WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- After three days of testimony the jury has found a Red Cross volunteer guilty of stealing thousands of dollars in emergency supplies.
48-year-old Chris Panko was convicted for stealing two truckloads of donated supplies in 2006. Those supplies were intended for flood victims.
The jury took about 3 hours to decide his fate. During the trial two of Panko's relatives testified against him, saying he kept the trucks at their Luzerne County homes.
He was however found not guilty of receiving stolen property. Panko faces 20 years behind bars. He’ll be sentenced in June.
