Williamsport, Lycoming County-
In central Pennsylvania, free tax assistance is once again available to those filing non-complicated returns.
Penn College is teaming up with the Williamsport Salvation Army to offer the help free of charge from now through April 8th.
Accounting and finance students at the school will be volunteering their help to residents filing their returns.
Salvation Army Major Marie Harris noted, "It helps low-income families to get their earned income tax credit that's available for them. And so often, they miss out on that because they aren't familiar with it."
Interested residents can head to the Williamsport Salvation Army, Penn College's Madigan Library, or the Muncy Public Library for that tax help. | |
