LUZERNE COUNTY -- With temperatures expected to nosedive overnight into the single digits, VISION volunteers in Luzerne County have their work cut out for them.
The team loaded blankets and other necessary tools for Saturday night's pickup. Workers will check out spots where the homeless frequently go to stay warm.
Vince Kabacinski of VISION said, "There are not that many individuals out there, maybe two, maybe three but we're determined to bring everybody in."
Once picked up, they'll be brought to a shelter on Academy Street in South Wilkes-Barre. If you know someone who needs a warm place to stay, you can call police and they'll coordinate with VISION. | | |
